Tiahnee Easton

Qualifications and Experience
Tiahnee graduated with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from Charles Sturt University. During her studies, she worked as a Disability Support Worker, supporting children with various abilities and support needs to participate in daily activities and build independence.

In her last two years of university, Tiahnee worked as an Allied Health Therapy Assistant, where she supported therapists in planning and implementing engaging and meaningful interventions for children across a range of developmental, sensory, and functional needs. 

Tiahnee has completed the following courses:

  • Building New Pathways - Supporting Children and Adolescents who have experienced developmental trauma
  • Learn to Play Therapy
  • Stepping Stones – Introduction to Sensory Therapy
  • Trauma-Informed Care for Allied Health Professionals

Prior to entering the allied health field, Tiahnee worked in event management for children’s events and community fundraisers. This involved coordinating children’s craft workshops, silent discos, and fundraising events supporting causes such as Beanies for Brain Cancer. 

At Christmas time, Tiahnee also works with Santa Claus as one of his elves, travelling throughout the community helping create magical Christmas experiences and assisting with Santa photos!

 
Professional Interests
Tiahnee is passionate about working with neurodivergent children and providing individualised, strengths-based intervention tailored to each child’s interests and needs. She has a keen interest in sensory-based approaches and strives to create safe, supportive, and empowering environments where children can build confidence and independence through meaningful play and connection.

 
Creative Skills
Tiahnee loves spending time outdoors and appreciates the calming and grounding effects of nature. She has a strong love for animals and her hobbies include horse riding and rock climbing. She also enjoys travelling, seeking new experiences, and learning about different cultures, which inspires her curiosity and creativity. Tiahnee loves finding creative ways to incorporate children’s interests into therapy sessions and can happily chat for hours about topics ranging from Minecraft and Pokémon to animals, music, and sports.
