Qualifications and Experience
Amelia is currently completing a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) at the University of Newcastle, building a strong foundation in person-centred, evidence-based practice. She has gained early clinical experience in orthopaedic rehabilitation, supporting clients to develop functional skills throughout recovery.
Alongside her studies, Amelia holds a Certificate III in Assisting in Nursing and has completed an acute aged-care placement, further strengthening her compassionate, high-quality care. She has also worked in before- and after-school care and as a netball coach, where she fostered children’s engagement, confidence, and skill development through creative, supportive activities.
Professional Interests
Amelia is passionate about growing her knowledge and skills throughout her Occupational Therapy studies and clinical experiences. She has a strong interest in paediatrics and is eager to develop her practice through hands-on learning and mentorship. She values working within multidisciplinary teams and is committed to providing holistic, client-centred care that ensures each person feels supported, empowered, and heard.
Creative Skills
Amelia enjoys a range of creative and recreational pursuits that enrich her work with clients. She loves cooking and baking, is an active netball player, and enjoys a variety of sports. In her downtime, she turns to reading and art to relax and broaden her perspective. Her interests and enthusiasm for planning meaningful activities help her create supportive, engaging environments for those she works with.
